Sunday: Unity 2000 and Police Brutality March

Anarchists were here.

Kendall and Anne have a little fun in front of a Hotel where Republicans (and this elephant) were staying. They were quickly asked to leave by the Bellhop.

No shortage of Police at the Unity 2000 Rally.

Anti-abortion protestors were abundant.

The Judgement is coming.

"This protest banner is printed on 100% recycled needless advertising"

Dubya's head, Han Solo's body and blaster. "Stop me before I kill again."

The people from the Funny Times were handing out packets of seeds.

A massive drum cart.

Another drummer.

There were about 20 of these completely decked out dancers at the Unity 2000 rally.

The Pentagon's missile is bigger than your missile.

The Corporate Welfare Float.

The back of the same float.

On the flatbed towed by the Corporate Welfare Float, there was a mud wrestling match between Gore and Bush. At some point, a voter appeared (at right) with a "Universal Healthcare" sign. Gore and Bush quickly teamed up against him, and the commentators jeered him out of the ring.

Why not indeed.

Pro-abortion protestors chant for the media. A truck covered with anti-abortion slogans was driving by just to the left.

The truck, with a pro-abortion protestor on top. Other demonstrators were kicking the truck

This guy ran out in front of the truck to stop it (it was speeding away with a protestor stuck on top). At some point, a cop pushed him down, and dislocated his elbow (seen here). He showed the policeman that he was injured, but the cop just took this guy's cell phone and walked away. It was pretty wierd.

People gathered at the Unity 2000 rally. Philadelphia City hall is in the Background.

More Unity 2000.
