Clashing Flags.
Chanting Protestors. "Human Need not Corporate Greed".
'Billionaires for Bush or Gore' had some pretty scathing satire. Their
web
site is great, as well.
"Because inequality is not growing fast enough."
This sign was constantly serving up new subversive slogans every few
seconds, including:
"The idea of transcendence is used to obscure oppression."
"The unattainable is invariably attractive."
"There's nothing redeeming in toil."
"Talking is used to hide one's ability to act."
"The family is living on borrowed time."
The media were all over Monday's march.
Busy day.
Puppets courtesy of the Ministry of Puppetganda.
Towards the end of the 4+ mile march, the police videotaped and photographed
the protestors as they passed by.
A protests exhults to the media about Environmental issues and animal
rights.
The police set up a blockade about 100 meters from the end of the march,
a stadium where
Republican Convention events were taking place.
A huge fence was also erected to keep the protestors from going through
the adjacent park.
